Brand Name Is Appropriate, June 27, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Comfort Seats C1B3R4S-20 EZ Close Deluxe Plastic Toilet Seat, Round, Venetian Pink (Tools & Home Improvement) The brand name Comfort Seats pretty much says it all. I own a similar slow closing seat made by Bemis for our other toilet and much prefer this one. The two main reasons are: 1. The opening is larger and accommodates bigger individuals better, and 2: There are no uncomfortable edges on the lower portion of the top cover to cause discomfort when seated, especially for bigger guys like me.
The seat closes smoothly and quietly. The included non-slip rubber gaskets should keep the seat from moving without having to resort to overtightening. It even included variably shaped washers which allow its position on the toilet to be slightly adjusted for a perfect fit on most any brand commode.
It does lack one nice feature of the Bemis, which is a quick disconnect feature to easily remove the entire seat for commode cleaning. With regard to price, at only about $33 it's a good $20 - $30 below many other brands such as Kohler - which doesn't even carry this color pink... Read more

Nice Seat - Not so nice manufacturer, August 11, 2009 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Comfort Seats C1B3R4S-45 EZ Close Deluxe Plastic Toilet Seat, Round, Regency Blue (Tools & Home Improvement) I bought this seat because it was an EZ Close Seat. The seat was a good color match and performed well for about 6 months. The EZ Close feature stopped working and the seat slammed shut. I called Amazon and was referred to the manufacturer. The phone representative at Comfort Seats seemed surprised that I called and she insisted that all warranty matters should be dealt with by Amazon. I asked for a replacement and was reluctantly told that I would get one. Suffice it to say that it never came.
I'm aware that the responsibility for replacement rests with the manufacturer. I called Amazon customer service to relate my bad experience. Amazon is shipping a replacement. One bad product doesn't necessarily make it a product to avoid, but a company should stand behind its products and honor a one year warranty. It good to know that Amazon is there for us, especially when the manufacturer isn't.

Had a hard time removing the old seat due to cheap and badly design hardware because of limited access space. The new seat hardware allow you to fasten the seat mostly from the top so you don't have to crouch under the toilet to fuss with the screw and bolt. When it time to uninstall the seat you will appreciate this.
